If you're looking for a studio to facilitate the recording or post production of your audiobook look no further than The TreeCave! Many studios claim to provide audiobook services, but few specialize in their production, AND even fewer were built with audiobooks in mind. You'll want a comfortable space outfitted with materials that deaden sound reflections, while at the same time providing a sound that is energetic and lively. Our Control Room is spacious enough to accommodate in studio direction, but is also equipped to remote connect a director in session to the narrator's ears in real time. A TreeCave produced project will provide you with a product that will exceed industry standards.
Post Production for audiobooks is a wildly different process than post for music. You'll want a mastering engineer who is experienced with both the tools AND sound of a mastered audiobook. Living in an artificially created limited dynamic range (-23dbs RMS -3dbs Peak) many post-pros simply cram your audio into a template that they know will meet industry specs ignoring the finer points of the uniquely dynamic nature of each human voice. This can leave your book sounding empty and tired. The Team @ The TreeCave begin each mastering session from scratch employing a host of different tools and techniques to create a vibrant sound and enjoyable listening experience. You may forget that you're listening to a recording!
The Team @ The TreeCave have recorded, edited, mastered, produced (or some combination thereof) over 100 audiobook titles for both national publishers (Hachette, Simon and Schuster, Blackstone, Disney Books, Tantor Audio, Brilliance), as well as for independent rights holders on ACX, and Findaway Voices.
