The TCd1 was conceptualized to offer an affordable and reliable studio mic that could go toe to toe with the industry standards at a fraction of the price. A smooth sounding studio dynamic mic with an accurate and pleasing replication of your voice, the capsule was designed to reject more of the noises you don't want while beautifully accentuating the ones that you do with crystal clear accuracy. AND although this mic is made of PLA (plastic polymer) and 3D printed it is still rugged and durable. The chassis and electrical components survived 18 drop tests and came out unscathed (the grill shattered on the first fall, but is easily replaceable). That said we recommend doing your best NOT to drop the TCd1.
